Topic: Rhodes' latest Posted: May 02 2014 at 09:52 |
Like all real men, I have a heart that beats, and that heart requires an electric piano from time to time.
So, what I'm getting at: has anybody here had hands-on experience with both the Rhodes Mark 7 and a vintage Rhodes?
How much does the Mk7 resemble a vintage one? Would it be a viable alternative?
I know I probably sound like a conservative t**t, but if you're reading this chances are you know how a vintage Rhodes sounds. How faithful is the Mk7? I've read professional reviews of it and watched smartasses play it, but that ain't nowhere near enough.
On that note (no pun intended), any chance any of you lot readin' this (who are in the possession of the Mk7) could record a sample so that less-privileged ears (like mine) could hear?
See, I'm sadly without a Rhodes at the moment; later down the road I could always pull some strings and get a vintage one, or I could go for a Mark 7, but I've no chance of physically interacting with either--therefore I will take your word for it for now!
I trust you, PA!
