I've tried to just look past post-Wind Phil....but, when I think about it, he IS the Benedict Arnold of prog.  I think the little weasle played possum with his true intentions.....play some jazzy chops and drive the Genesis machine until it collapsed.  Then, pick up the pieces, pen some poppy pap and become a household name by winning over the housewives/househusbands.

I can't believe he runs down precisely what his oldest fans respect most.  Pipsqueak!

I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

You obviously wouldn't know a singer if he bit you on the arse.Collins is a monotone insipid cod piece.

But he's one hell of a drummer

He seems to be repenting of that lately.  He didn't run down Brand X becasue he wasn't trying to make that music more accessible to make money on.  He was doing that with Genesis.  Now that it is no longer necessary to distance the band from it's past he has kinda been nostalgic like playing with the Musical Box in Geneva and writting the forward to their program this Lamb tour.

Phil Collins is a very good drummer, just an awful composer. (I say this assuming Steve Hacket had a lot to do with Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering and after he left it was Phil Collins tampering that led to failure.)
Life seemed to him merely like a gallery of how to be.

I like the first two GENESIS albums. There's no Phil.  The reason I like them, is not the absence of Mr. Collins, but as I realized this later, it strengtened my views, that there's something in this performer that displeases me. '

BUT. Just my opinnion.

I saw an ad about his forthcoming "The first farewell tour". I wondered, how many of such tours he's going to have?

sorry.

Excuse me?

No way, anime is one of the most interesting forms of art. I love anime. The anime in my signature is a show called Cromartie High School, which features Freddy Mercury as a main character who never talks, and doesn't actually seem to be a student, yet he makes friends with the main characters anyway. Also, he hangs around with a gorilla. (I'm not making this up, it's a real show.)
