Most of the other regions in this poll are geographical, not political, regions.  I suppose I should have put North America instead of Canada/USA/et al, but I chose to do this instead.  The distinctions were not politically motivated!

Bollocks. The Republic of Ireland has been independent from the UK since 1922. They fought for that autonomy and the distinction is recognised as a republic wef 1949 which transferred the remaining duties of a monarch to an elected president. What time tunnel did you come throughWink
"The British Isles are a group of islands off the northwest coast of continental Europe that include the islands of Great Britain, Ireland and over six thousand smaller isles.[7] Two sovereign states are located on the islands: Ireland (additionally described as the Republic of Ireland, covering five-sixths of the island of the same name)[8] and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (commonly known as the United Kingdom)."

Any people from Iceland here?
I pondered that; not being sure "where" they belong.  If there are any Icelanders here I'll be curious what they choose.  Northern Europe, I would guess.  Or perhaps Western.

I'd say probably Northern, at least that's what I would consider the Scandinavian countries to fall under. Lovely country though. I was there a couple of years ago with my dad.
