Planet P Project - a candidate for Crossover from the descriptions I see on the net. Grab some YouTube vids and hit the suggest new artists forums my suggestion for procedure for that case.

As a welcome video for you, how about a taste of Rick Miller?

Hello!

My name is Melanie and I've been haunting PA for several years now.  I stumbled across the site one day while trying to find some info about a band and have been hooked ever since.  I'm not too huge in music discussion - if I like something that I hear then I like it and if I don't like it then I don't like it.  Pretty simple.  :^)

I know this isn't the place for it, but I joined the forums to suggest Planet P Project be put on the list (did a forum search also and didn't get one hit).  Once I get a little more info on it, then I'll suggest it in the right place.  Actually, I was pretty surprised to find that Tony Carey's project isn't listed here at all.  I just listened to Pink World for the second time.  Terribly under-rated if you ask me.  Tony Carey's strong vocals, storyline and orchestrations are really first rate.

My parents made sure I listened to the good stuff when I was little.  The house was always full of Supertramp, Yes, Steely Dan and Jethro Tull.  My dad was horrified when he found out that I liked Rush also.  He says Getty Lee sings like he's been gelded.  In recent years I've really taken a liking to various genres of prog, mostly symphonic but I also really like jazz rock/fusion.  I think Zeuhl is pretty interesting also.  Most folks I know don't understand my musical preference at all.  Some say it's weird; some say I'm weird for listening to it.  Sorry, I don't like mainstream radio.  Anyone can eat out of a trashcan.  It takes a connoiseur to find the delicacies.  Just sayin'...
