I'm just going through every poll I can find with The Beatles as a choice and picking them because...The Beatles, that's why.

Genesis, Beatles and Jefferson all great. Few if any songs send shivers down my spine like Daltry's scream in Won't Get Fooled Again. Gets my vote!

I voted for The Who but also thought of Jefferson Airplane's "We can be Together" and "Volunteers".  Also Steppenwolf's "Monster".

haha I also thought oft the Airplane going into this thread, mainly cause whenever i think of any sort of 'revolution song' the first thing i hear in my head is that classic 'got to have a revolution, have a revolution!" line. I also feel like there should be a good amount of Bob Dylan and Doors songs that would also fit this. Does All Along The Watchtower count?

I always thought of One for the Vine as being more of a personal song about a man who leaves a system he thinks is bad, starts a revolt and ends up realizing he's become exactly what he left behind.  But when I think of a revolution song, I think of the kind people would be chanting out in the streets as they stormed the bastille, and I'm not sure that One for the Vine would suit that.  The Knife though maybe.

I would've picked Volunteers by Jefferson Airplane over the ones mentioned.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Well, i see it as a song about the "new boss same as the old boss" part of revolution

Saddened that "The Knife" isn't on there.

Oh well. Going with "Won't Get Fooled Again".

I used to love "Won't Get Fooled Again" but since it became the theme song of CSI it has started to get a bit on my nerves Shocked
Revolution is nice but I will vote for One For The Vine.

I'll go with "Won't Get Fooled Again", even though Townshend called it "the stupidest song I ever wrote".

I always thought of it as more about religion than revolution, probably because of the water and wine references.

Why don't you have number nine,  number nine,  number nine?
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

One for the vine is my favourite out of those three songs, but not so much for its revolutionary theme's.

Won't get fooled again is THE best revolution song ever, imo..

Well, out of those I've heard anyway...
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

"Won't Get Fooled Again", although the single version of "Revolution" is a close second (never liked the lethargic album version). "One for the Vine" bores me to tears.
