go with In a Glass House, Mirage, and In the Land of Grey and Pink, three 5 star albums
Red is also pretty good, if inconsistent. Its worth it for Starless alone

Oh, and please do vote for more than one! I said I didn't want you to vote for more than five or six, but I've noticed that some people have mentioned albums that still have no votes!

Since I own pretty much all of those above, it was hard to narrow down, but here's my suggestion:
- Lift Your Skinny Fists
- Hot Rats
- Inner Mounting Flame
- In A Glass House
- Red
- Awake
You should still try to get all of them eventually!

In The Land...
Red
The inner mounting flame
In A Glass house
By the way, switch the first and the last if you want the exact order.
Have a nice trip.

I just ordered In The Land Of Grey And Pink at an online store last week, so if you buy it too we'll have something to talk about when you get back.
Have a nice trip!

You should go for Awake, not Octavarium. It's far more original.
I also voted for Caravan and Lightbulb Sun, because those are also on my list of albums to buy.

Well from your list I would pick up the following in this order:
In the Land of Grey and Pink
Script for a Jester's Tear
Mirage
Red
Awake

Tommorrow, I am going on vacation to Vancouver for three weeks, and will finally have a chance to buy some of the albums that all of you recommended to me in my now ancient thread about expanding my collection! I've added some albums, and left some out, due to my continuing investigation into these artists.
I know that I need to get Thick as a Brick, but I won't buy it until I find a place where I can get it on vinyl. Don't talk to be about internet shopping, you don't know my family.
Oh, and I was really hoping to buy Godbluff, because from what I've heard of them, VdGG sound like something I could really get into. But then I was informed of a remaster coming out later this year, and I've resolved to wait for it.
I've allowed multiple votes, so that I don't have a landslide for one album and no votes for many of them. Such a poll would be useless to me. But please, don't choose more than five or six, don't choose one album more than once, and don't choose both DT albums. I think I'll buy either Awake or Octavarium, but not both.
I'll check the poll again at the end of the day and draw conclusions.
Thanks!
