If it's not too late, take another one please!
If a mix of Kansas and Dream Theater doesn't scare you off, then by all means check out Cryptic Vision. Btw, they are from Sarasota, Florida.
Good luck on your trip!
bump! (did you see my post?)

I'll have to agree with Echolyn. Great band, although a b*tch to find. Had to order mine on-line and on ebay. But, very good.
Happy The Man if you can find it as well.

Spock's Beard is one of a kind, but Echolyn (MikeEnRegalia mentioned them already) is also a very good band: lot's of different influences. One of the best prog bands AD 2005.

Don't forget Frank Zappa!!!
Probably the best prog/fusion from the US! Maybe not similar to Spock's Beard, but he's great!

Glass Hammer, Echolyn ... good neo-prog bands to check out. Mike Keneally is great, too, if you're into Fusion and Free Style.

I'm holidaying in Florida in October and would like to pick up some good US prog. I know all about Spocks Beard but is there anyone similiar? I've heard some of Relayer and they sound good.
Recommendations gratefully received, also if anyone can tell me a good place to get them in the DisneyWorld area I would be even more grateful, thanks .
