I am new here and I'm hoping to amuse myself with interesting conversation and hopefully hear about some musicians that I will enjoy.
I like many different genres of music (although I generally tend to favour subgenres of rock and metal) and I'm willing to try anything from genres I don't know that well, also. I love stuff like Porcupine Tree (anything else Steven Wilson has done, as well), Opeth (I saw them play live in Worcester back in September, which was amazing), Devin Townsend (who I will be going to see live in December), Haken, Riverside, Ayreon, Orphaned Land, Beardfish, Pink Floyd, Anathema, King Crimson, Genesis, Rush, Dream Theater, pinkroom, dredg, The Chronicles of Israfel, Enochian Theory, Jethro Tull, Cloudkicker, Kamelot, Blind Guardian, The Algorithm, Žalvarinis... A lot of other stuff as well, really.
In any case, I'm hoping to kill some time having conversations about
music with people that I actually have some similar tastes with, which doesn't seem to happen too often in real life.
I'm just going to end this post now. Does anyone even read or care about these things? 'Cause I sure wouldn't.
