I'm sure it was when he formed Wings, but I stand corrected. |

Well i've been a fan of both bands for as long as i've been into rock/prog which was when I was still at school. The Wishbone Ash tribute was fun while it lasted and it got me playing again after 25 years, although i'd never played bass before 2005 actually. When the band packed up, I decided to create the Budgie tribute band cuz I thought it was high time they got some recognition, and of course I love the music! Ricky's have always been my fave sounding bass although there's some great basses out there. It's cool you like both bands as well. I do feel very fortunate to be out playing music I love, I just wished I was doing this full time! like my two comrades who are both pro musicians for a living, that has to be the coolest job right? Thank you very much. I bought that bass from North Carolina in the USA in 2005 when I helped to form a Wishbone Ash tribute band. The was borrowed by Martin Turner (of Wishbone Ash) to record his cd Argus Through The Looking Glass by Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, (available from his website or gigs) so it has a nice history. That is why it say's thanks to Tony Clark on the inside sleeve notes. The picture is me playing in my Budgie tribute band In For The Kill, live at the Draycott Rock and Bike Festival in Derbyshire UK in 2009. The bass was made in January 1975. |

Remember, just because they have used a bass doesn't mean they use it all or even most of the time. Righ now Roger Waters and Geddy Lee both have signature Fender basses out.
