^ Wrong thread, this one is for reporting bootlegs in PA database.
Anyway to your question - it's necessary to check each particular case. Some are burned from official releases, some have simpler artwork, some were released as bootlegs first and then officially.

There are many officially released CD's recordings on Discogs listed as unofficial. These unofficial CD's usually cost less then the official releases. Are these Discogs unofficial releases ripped and burned from official releases? Are there other explanations? I ask because I'm tempted to purchase an official unofficial RPI release. ^^ It has been claimed before that the Mellow Records bandcamp account has had bootlegs available for purchase (legal disclaimer: don't sue the messenger). I'm removing it as I have not found it listed on the Agents of Mercy site and because of what was written by Infandous. Thanks for alerting me, Eugene.
In case it is ever claimed as an official release, here is the info from the album page: Live, released in 2009 Songs / Tracks Listing 1. The Fading Ghosts of Twilight (8:54) 2. The Unwanted Brother (9:45) 3. Heroes & Beacons (9:20) 4. Jesus on the Barricades (5:21) 5. Well, Mellow's Bandcamp had its own version of Kate Bush's new Live album up on that page before the real thing was released. I got to hear it for about a day before it mysteriously vanished.

^ But it's also on Mellow Records (not a pirate label, as far as I can tell) bandcamp page: http://https://mellowrecords.bandcamp.com/album/agents-of-mercy-magic-kingdom
Thanks, I'll send PM to admins, decision is up to them.

Roine Stolt has confirmed on the FK Yahoo group that the Agents of Mercy live album listed on progarchives, "Magic Kingdom", is in fact a bootleg and should be removed. http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=49220
Also, the person who made the recording has a free version on archive.org, with Roine's permission and he also verified that the recording was his and that it is not an official recording and should not be for sale. 1c. Re: Agents of Mercy - Magic Kingdom Posted by: "Roine Stolt" [email protected] roine.stolt Date: Thu Jan 12, 2017 2:19 pm ((PST)) not legit - there is only ONE legit live recording from Agents of Mercy - and that’s the Power of Two CD. if it says “Magic Kingdom ……..” it is most likely from "Magic Room" in Boston, and with Nick DV on drums. Roine. |

There's this new Camel DVD: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=53501
http://Camelproductions.com says nothing about it. Only real info I found with a very fast check was this: http://www.cd-services.com/product_info.aspx?id=14582 No info about any label. Smells funny to me, this one.

Keishiro, please look at these 2 albums reported on this page and decide let them live or die:
1. Ash Ra Tempel "Paris Downers" http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=38688 It doesn't appear in the official discography: http://www.ashra.com/disco/welcome.htm. Discogs and RYM call it unofficial and unauthorized: This recource http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/ash-ra-temple-recorded-live-at-salle-wagrem-paris-december-6-1974-a-78807.html also says it's a bootleg. There are 2 editions, from 2013 https://www.discogs.com/Focus-In-Concert-1973/release/4989274 and 2016 https://www.discogs.com/Focus-In-Concert-1973-/release/8409742. Both unofficial. |

I'm pretty sure this Zappa live album is a bootleg:
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=51008 It's widely available, but it isn't featured on any of the FZ and FZ Family Trust websites. |

It seems The Doors "Seattle 1970" http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=51476 is a bootleg. Actually it's a bootleg well known by the fans long before 2015 BRR edition.
Normally Bright Midnight label releases the band's archive recordings and they are remastered by Bruce Botnick and announced on the Doors website. Nothing like this in case of Seattle performance. Discogs also says it's unofficial:

^ Thanks, the only review here confirms this too: "This is actually a bootleg released before seventh records...".
I've sent PM to admin.
