Topic: What is the best Nine Inch Nails album? Posted: June 18 2005 at 17:47 |
Believe me, there is no such thing as a good NIN album, and even though I'm 37 years of age, would consider myself to be an authority on the subject. A couple of season's at my hostel, I employed an 18 year old lad who thought they were like the second coming of Christ and played their music in the kitchen relentlessly. He tried to convince me that they were an acquired taste with hidden depths, and that I should bear with it...
In the end, I told him that if he didn't remove his CDs to his bedroom, they might mysteriously disappear overnight, never to be seen again. I think he took the hint.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I voted in Pretty Hate Machine, but I like 'em all... I agree, they're not progressive, but Reznor is a genius...

I've never really liked NIN, but a friend of mine is a big fan of theirs.

great stuff the first couple of albums when they had something to say!
I think Pretty Hate Machine was the early/best merger of pop an industrial music and is therefore a landmark.
