Number four (#4) on my personal Top Ten list of Albums of 2010, DOMINA CATRINA LEE's
Songs from the Breastbone Drum, came to me through a random mailing by Catrina herself on ProgArchives. Her music--of the Jazz Fusion category, is stunning, fun, intelligent, and beautiful. Similar to PAT METHENY, OREGON, RALPH TOWNER, JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, SHAKTI, and even an ALLAN HOLDSWORTH-like piece. It still blows me away that much of it was generated through Just Intonation--on a computer! The shape of things to come!
Her website <http://dominacatrinalee.bandcamp.com> is very professional and user friendly.
Please read the review of Catrina's Songs from the Breastbone Drum in the on-line fanzine, All About Jazz, by Robert Bush <http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=37744> to get a more professional view/endorsement of her music.
