These are some interesting bands:Whirling,Virus,Fen,Ved buens ende,Dodheimsgard,Krallice,Ihsahn(and Emperor),Borknagar,Ne obliviscaris,Ikuinen kaamos,Shining(swedish depressive black metal band),Solstafir,Nachtmystium,Klabautamann,Akercocke(they're not added here,but it's progressive band),Dornenreich,Mirrorthrone,Velnias(also,they're not here),Diabolical  masquerade and Lantlos.(I know,many bands.)

yeah that album is breathtaking. 

Wolves in the Throne Room is an obvious choice, check out their album Two Hunters.

Altar of Plagues is really good as well, and you should check out Drudk and Alcest as well.
