Welcome, we seem to share the same tastes!

some other 70's prog bands I'd recommend based on your tastes:

Van Der Graaf Generator (UK)
Very Dark, with great vocals and sax/organ

Focus (Dutch)
great guitar/flute/yodelling!  very classical and jazzy

Renaissance (UK)
closest prog comes to pure 'symphonic' but also folksy

Caravan (UK)
jazzy but very accesibly and great Live albums

PFM (Italian) & Banco (Italian)
very similar Italian Symphonic bands, great place to enter Italian scene

P.S.: Gentle Giant is great!  So is Tull, ELP, Yes, etc., but i can barely get into King Crimson after 1971.

Hi everyone!

I'm Gabriel from Argentina, I'm 17 years old and I've been getting into Prog music for about a year. I joined this forum because I'd like to learn about more bands that I may like.

I' ve been
mostly listening to the prog giants, like Yes, Genesis, ELP, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, etc. and some Argentinian prog (which I have only recently discovered it existed!) like La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros and Crucis .

What I like the most is Yes, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd and Gentle Giant. I particularly enjoy vocal harmonies (either simple or complex), the lovely medieval style of GG, the guitar style of Howe and Gilmour, and the flute-soloing of Ian Anderson.

Well, I'm not sure if i'm supposed to say something else, so that's it for now.
