The band recorded "Days of Future Passed" on the sly, without the knowledge or permission of their record company.  They had been commissioned to do a rock interpretation of Dvorak's 9th and did "Days" instead.

Hence, I think it would be funny if they actually finally did what they were originally comissioned to do.  It would be practically Zappa-esque.

BTW
Saw The Moody Blues at The Isle of Wight concert film on Sky Arts the other night.
Great stuff, also interviewed the band in recent times. Mike Pinder gave an explanation how the Mellotron works and demo'd it for 'White Satin

Does anybody else think it would be really funny if The Moody Blues went into a recording studio for a few weeks and finally made a rock version of Dvorak's 9th?  It would probably suck, but I'm not sure they could have a better possible swansong.
