At least they let people line up instead of being dicks like they are a lot of the time.

Jim usually included a playlist but lost it this time when he posted it or so he said. BTW this is where you can get his archives for his shows:

you will love this Aaron: http://www.papajarchives.com/Sounds/Radio/Matinee_Apr24_2010_128kbps.mp3 the first 20 minutes is Jim playing music but there is over an hours worth of interviews (candid like standing n the parking lot talking), music from the concert and stories about the rehearsals and the show in Downey.

Theater of Living Arts. The line wrapped around down the street, around the corner, and behind the building and then some. It was freaking -packed-.

I saw the 'Transatlantic' show in Downey,CA. (the 1st 'live' performance of "The Whirlwind") and I am in total agreement . . . the show was EPIC and one of the best I'd ever seen. I can't wait for the DVD as they'll not be playing here in California again.

If you guys want to hear some great conversations with Daniel, Roine and Pete plus some stories the promoter here in California had with the rehearsals and the concert check out his podcast from Jim Harrel's internet radios show Papa Jim's matinée. These conversations are really candid plus you will hear some of the unmixed live tapes from Calprog (no full songs).

Hope you guys enjoy it! I went with one of my friends, my cousin, his dad, my dad, and 2 of my uncles, and we all had a blast! Ours was a standing only venue as well... I would have liked a chair, but it was well worth it. |

Glad to hear you enjoyed the gig Jeff . What a fantastic set list!!
I will be seeing Transatlantic at their gig in my hometown on 22nd May 2010. I don't know how many tickets they have sold but so keen was I that my wife and I have ticket numbers 0001 and 0002 (it's a standing only venue). I'm really looking forward to this.

I'm not a HUGE fan of Transatlantic, but seeing Roine Stolt, Mike, Pete and Neal together is something I would really like to do before I die, lol.
I've told you various times that 'All of the Above' is probably my favorite song from the 21st Century, or at least my favorite epic ever without counting the 70's classics.
My favorite song by theirs, as you should have figured out, is All of the Above, but my favorite album is probably The Whirlwind, not sure.

No problem Pablo. I didn't know you were so much of a TA fan, Pablo! I knew you liked The Whirlwind (a lot) but I was pretty sure that you didn't love their other stuff very much... |
