I reckon some intl servers are down, so it is not PA. NZ access to PA is just fine but other sites seem to be down, I guess it all depends where your ping the cyber highway.

If it helps, the error message I sometimes get (on K-Meleon, which is similar to Firefox I guess) says:

Connection Interrupted
The document contains no data.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.


Apparently it's not an uncommon problem, but it's only happened to me on this particular website.

For the past few days I've been getting a lot of "connection interrupted"-errors when surfing the forum or posting. Sometimes the page loads quickly, sometimes it either takes a very long time or freezes completely.

Sorry I'm not familiar with the internet workin' but only PA website was heavy 'n' slow ... other ones were not. Confused

Any problem with the process from PA to the Eastern ISPs? I dunno ... Ermm

It is working fine for me now.  It seems to have been a gliche on that particular day.  Could've been on my end or somewhere in between.  As said above, probably the volcanic ash had something to do with it.
