It was changed in late March - early April last year, and with both 2008 and 2009 displayed side by side for about half a year before 2008 disappeared.

I find it interesting to follow the development of which albums have the highest rating, but the shortcut isn't that big of a deal, the 2010 list is available anyway.

This is actually reasonable point of view, OK then, you've persuaded me.
There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Agreed - not sure there's any value in having a best of 2010 in early March - I'd say wait until July at the absolute minimum.

What's the rush Marty? - people haven't assimulated the top-2009 yet and the "early" ratings for 2010 are never represtentative of anything.
What?

Um ? I don't know if last year this feature was here by this time or not, but is something going on with this currently ?

If you can implement it (M@X?) to main page's list, it would be nice. Again - 2010 (so far) pattern.
