Actually, the coda of 'The Wall' was taken from the interude of a ballad Walsh had written in the "Song For America" days, but it was ultimately dropped. Considering that the coda is crucial for the proper conclusion of the melodic develpment that had been cooking until then, it would be fairer to say that it is one of the best Livgren-Walsh compositions ever.
BTW, that Walsh ballad should have never been dropped - even with a brand new interlude it would have been a great addition to Kansas' history: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dlI5S8Bc1Q
'The PInnacle' has to be one of the best prog rock epics ever... AND I MEAN EVER!!! Edited by Cesar Inca - September 25 2009 at 14:19 |

Of equal quality, I'll vote for quantity. Besides, a wall is something that goes up, but a pinnacle is the very top.

I hate The Wall by Pink Floyd; it seems you're confused. He means both Kansas songs. |

I voted for The Pinnacle. I would take most albums that aren't The Wall over The Wall.

For me, it basically boils down to this:
5 minutes of 5 star music, or 10 minutes of 5 star music? ![]() |

Kerry Livgren says these are his two best compositions (From his book "Seeds of change") Just curious to see which song people like more, (for me they are equally great so I really cant vote)
