Pull me under is an enjoyable song, even though it doesn't takes a lot of risk. It's not even original, since, in my opinion, its melody, the roughness of the guitar and Labrie's voice takes a lot of influence from Queensryche 's Operation Mindcrime.

I'm with Robert on this one.

This is one of the two best (the other being Metropolis Part 1) from an album that doesn't really hit the spot for me.  DT would soon be on an upward curve though.  The next was better and then came A Change Of Seasons.....

I like that song very much. Not the very best by DT, but indeed among the better ones.

It's a good song, it's just that nearly all of the rest of the album overshadows it so much.

It was this song more than any others that caused me to start paying attention to them.

Pull Me Under is a great song. Obviously Wait For Sleep leading into Learning to Live is the best, and also Metropolis, Under A Glass Moon, Take The Time are excellent. Ive warmed up to Another Day and Surrounded in recent times. I&W is just a great album for 1992

He's quite the opposite of me: He consideres Scenes to be a masterpiece while I think it isn't great, while I think Images & Words is their masterpiece while he thinks it pretty much sucks.

And I'm half of both of you. I gave them both 5 starsApprove

You're the average normal kind of DT fan. Robert, Rob and I are in the odd exception, I think...Wink

That's still true, Pablo, but I have extremely high regard for a certain Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Big smileWink

"Learning to Live" is okay, I guess, but I much prefer "Under a Glass Moon" or maybe "Metropolis Part I"

I love Another Day! Sure it isn't prog, but it's a beautiful song. IMHO at leastCry

Don't get me wrong, it's a decent ballad, but doesn't fit the album at all IMO, the sax solo, it just doesn't fit.

Yeah I guess. It's not progressive or metal so then I guess it isn't DT?... maybe?..?Confused??

LOL

Again, your're not getting what I mean. I do enjoy pop, as well as dance, and what-not, but Another Day just doesn't fit the album, just like More Fool Me doesn't fit Selling England by the Pound, both are decent pop songs that were misplaced.

I was JOKING!!LOL

I actually agree with you, Pablo!Smile
