Eating an actual pomegranate is such a pain in the ass. Speaking of fruit related things, my favorite citrus, the minneola: "The tangelo (pronounced /ˈtændʒəloʊ/ TAN-jə-loh) is a citrus fruit that is a hybrid of a tangerine and either a pomelo or a grapefruit. It may have originated in Southeast Asia over 3,500 years ago[citation needed]. The fruits are the size of an adult fist and have a tangerine taste, but are very juicy, to the point of not providing much flesh but producing excellent and plentiful juice. Tangelos generally have loose skin and are easier to peel than oranges.[1] They are easily distinguished from oranges by a characteristic nipple at the top of the fruit. The Minneola tangelo is likewise a cross between a Duncan grapefruit and a Dancy tangerine, and was released in 1931 by the United States Department of Agriculture Horticultural Research Station in Orlando. Most Minneola tangelos are characterized by a stem-end neck which tends to make the fruit appear bell-shaped. Because of this it is called the Honeybell in the gift fruit trade where it is one of the most popular varieties, but the proper name is Minneola. The fruit is usually fairly large, typically 3 - 3½ inches in diameter. The peel color is quite good and when mature results in a bright reddish-orange color. The peel is relatively thin so the fruit peels easily. It is quite juicy. It has few seeds and numbers can range from zero up to perhaps as many as twelve seeds per fruit. The Minneola is not strongly self-fruitful and yields will be greater when interplanted with suitable pollenizers such as Temple, Sunburst tangerine or possibly Fallglo tangerine. It tends to bear a good crop every other year. The fruit matures in the December-February period with January being the peak." WikiEdited by Slartibartfast - March 24 2009 at 21:24 |

Pomegranate juice is one of the best things I have ever drunk. Put some blueberry juice in there also and you've got a real winner. Of course, the stuff is so darned expensive I don't get it at school. |

Oh God, I remember those books, I have a very vivid memory of getting a batch of the Kliban books for my father when I was like 8 or something. I was reading through them as we were driving somewhere and remember a cartoon with strange cereals. I remember the cereal 'Porn Flakes' being absolutely hysterical to my 8 year old mind. Of course I didn't get the joke at all. I remember my Dad's response distinctly. "Hmm, maybe you shouldn't be looking at that." as he took the book from me. |

That's Dave's Insanity and not Total Insanity or Ultimate Insanity, right? If it is, then I've tried it, it's hot but not unbearably so. Anyone tried this: Keep in mind I *hate* vinegar, at least in Tabasco sauces and similar....

a general poll about sammiches (correct pronunciation) has me wanting to promote the ultimate sammich: The Primanti Brothers Sammich has everything necissary to get you through the day
then there is Pittsburgh's second greatest contribution to the world of sammich:
The Headwich (Fatheads in the South Side)
they are all this giant and, of course, completely healthy. this particular Headwich is known as the South Side Slopes and contains fried pierogies, kielbasa, and cheese. If that's not up your alley there's always this option:

Dry jerky > moist jerky
Wild Bill's is the driest most flavor packed, jerky I've ever eaten and I strongly endorse it.
My God, these were brilliant but I don't know if they make them anymore. I sure as hell can't find them, closest I can come is:
which are good but just not the same. Lays had a more subtle, less in your face, flavor. Edited by manofmystery - February 12 2009 at 12:55 |

Nothing better. . . . also a blue moon instead of the pale ale would be just as good, but Great Lakes Brewery needs more recognition. mmmmmm |

Hah - I'll see your Death Sauce & raise you a bottle of Dragons Blood: Made using the dread Dorset Naga chilli - this is the undisputed king of serious heat (but a great flavour, too if you're brave enough); every year he makes a 'special' version for the Hertfordshire chilli festival - you can always tell where his stall is from the cries of "That's fantastic!", followed by screams of agony |

I enjoy a somewhat close cousin, sour gummy worms. If you've never had one, even closer to sex in your mouth. And if the Trolli company would like to send me some as a thanks, I would gladly accept them. Edited by Slartibartfast - February 15 2009 at 08:01 |

proving that there is a God and that he will in fact give me a small win here and there:
Thank you Keebler for taking a quality cereal idea and making it actually taste delicious (the other "original" Cookie Crisp tastes like sh*t). A bowl full of small cookies covered with 2% milk, who can't get behind that?
