Hi Paul. This is getting scary now.
That particular singer was Jane. She only did a gig or two.  The operatic one was Janet I think.

This is no hijack. The thread asked for a British band from the early 80s. Thats what you got.

Have you had enough or do you want more tracks? I quite understand if thats enough.

Good to hear from you Paul! Do you still play? Does anyone remember the name of singer in the photo?

Heres another one. Prophecy of Cassandra. Again, no real drums.

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/avenuedentistry/Prophecy/index.html

A few, hopefully not too obvious chops to this one because the tape was bad in places.

And the drum machine reminds me of a cash register.

This could be enormously heavy live.

I think I have a copy of the tape somewhere. I used to have 2 or 3 live ones, I will have a hunt through the boxes in the garage!.

Well that didn't sound quite as bad as I thought it would, sounds a bit ropey in places but one or two nice ideas, shame the vocalist was a bit operatic! I can clearly remember recording the bass on this song, I had do do it in one take because I had a train to catch back to Manchester, it's littered with mistakes! Thanks for putting this on Phil!

In that case Phil, a comeback project would be the best thing to do. Tongue

As you can see, the interest is genuine around here Smile

Thanks

The 'album' was only ever released on cassette.  My copy is a bit shot in places but I may pull a few more tracks off and post them up if there is genuine interest here. The masters as far as I know are long gone. Most of the live stuff disappeared in the 1980s from my Ford Cortina -  the most stolen car in Dundee. funny it kept coming back though.
I dont think there are any copyright issues but if Rod or John object I will remove them.
There's a nice, fairly heavy track which is fairly intact. I may do that next.

Link above seems to work now.
First airing in public for 25+years. And it probably ought to be the last!
Sorry Mike. Thats the Dr Rhythm(I think) playing the drums.I think you were doing exams when this was recorded.

Some of the recordings were done on 8 track but a lot was done straight to cassette with the occasional bounce to another cassette.

I dont have any live stuff. The tapes have all gone bad.

There quite a bit more but its still on tape. It was really strange to listen to it again.

PS I've still got the Gibson in the picture but not the hair.

I think this band, no matter what they were playing or what they published, deserves at  least a  honorary memebership in PA...Big%20smile
