When I created this thread I had never expected those creative, often amazing and varied line-ups Clap

Okay, this time with bands that still plays, unlike last time LOL
  1. Träd Gräs och Stenar
  2. Kebnekaise
  3. Ozric Tentacles
  1. Fläsket Brinner
  2. Kaipa
  3. Porcupine Tree

Or something like that. I'm a bit unsure if Fläsket Brinner still plays, though.

On second thoughts: I've won the lottery so I'm going to have more than one stage a la Glastonbury .....

Canterbury Stage ....
The Spacerock ....... pyramid(ion)
Metal Stage ...
The Legends custom built amphitheatre (hey I wopn Euromillions not the UK sweepstake)

Also is the new talent workshop & chill out tent

PS emergency services, and newly built rest home for the older members will also be available Wink

The rest of the money would be ploughed into the festival micro brewery & vineyard

Of course the festival would ahve to end with Spinal Tap playing stone henge in a full scale replica ....

Uhm, I mostly though of bands that are active around this period, I know that usually you get three great names with a couple of artistically promising ones, the rest being more unknown or rare-groove bands. But I don't know much of these last list bands, therefore I splashed with good names and excellent recent good music. Cool

oops, only four bands (though others pushed the limits too, before me)!! EmbarrassedLOL
well then, Masfel and Carptree off the first day, Mar De Robles and Roz Vitalis off the second. not too much damage, no? Wink

Day 1 - Metalium Progressivus
  • Elfonia (Brazil) ... featuring guest appearance by Arjen Lucassen
  • Season's End (UK) ... hey, it's my festival - if I say they're on, then they are on. Stern%20Smile
  • Riverside (Poland)
  • Opeth (Sweden) ... guest appeance from Steve Wilson
also, in the Croissant Neuf café:
  • Banco De Gaia
  • The Egg
  • Bass Communion
  • Ed Aleyne-Johnson
Day 2 - Tempus Fugit

Roger Waters (UK) ... only allowed to play AHM (if he doesn't like it I've got The Australian Pink Floyd waiting in the wings)
The Reasoning (UK)
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso (Italy)
David Gilmour (UK) ... featuring Rick, Nick and Phil Manzanera of course

also, in the Croissant Neuf café, the House Jam band:
  • Simon House - keys
  • Pye Hastings - rhythm guitar
  • Alan Powel - drums
  • Dave Anderson - bass
...to be joined at various times throughout the day by guest guitarists such as Mick Abrahams, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Rothery and any musicians from above mentioned bands who fancy a bit of a jam.

...and in the comedy tent - Bill Bailey Big%20smile

/edit: actually with only 4 bands per day it's going to be a bit of a short festival. Day 2 would start at lunchtime and have at least 5 more bands.

Sorry because I'm jumping out of theme but If I win the lottery, I would rather then organise prog rock festival, resurect philosoher Epictetus and spent few days in his summer kamp. That would be (prog) music for my ears. LOL
