I've seen quite a few unsigned Prog bands around lately, its seems to be making a bit of a comeback with kids at the momment, perhaps they are sick of the popular music around which is getting worse lol!!!!!!

It sound like a good idea to me.  I'd like to hear some of the songs that  never make it to to shops.

I suppose that a whole bunch of unsigned proggers visit this site

Whether they would be interestied in posing their music under the threat of being mocked by Reed Lover et al (no offense here), isn't really a question.
OF COURSE WE ARE INTERESTED.

If such a maneuvre is ever to take place, I'm happy.

Cheers

i think these bands should have to seek out this site, or fans of these bands would have to recommend some of these bands

I would like to see this.  Both newer and older bands.

This is a very well thought out idea actually, because they would appeal to the right audience at the same time

I can't speak for the site administrators, but I suspect their preference would be for the files to be hosted elsewhere, and links to them posted here.

Dispiriting when nobody bothers to reply to one's posts, isn't it?

Yes, it is a good idea. And if the bands are unsigned, they would be falling over each other to provide MP3s. However, I think the site owners - if they were to agree to provide such a section - would need to do some tight vetting and only post the better ones.
