I'm not sure there is anything that can teach that kind of stuff.

A good understanding of scales is probably the most important thing.

Jazz improvisation is also a good start.

Basically it all comes down to playing the right scales in the right modes over the right chords (of course there's a lot more to it than that, but basically learn your scales and your modes and then improvise)

Or you can do what I do - play and hope for the best LOL

Hi ,

I have been using my MIDI keyboard with loads of software synths etc. But knowing only chords etc. Recording only Ambient experimental music. But nowadays I have discovering my influence of early PF's keyboard solos etc. And I am searching some free documnets or videos on net that teaches that kinda stuff. I think my hand will be fast enough , I have been ading some solos on my songs by piano-keyboard but very far from psych-prog. I have tried to figure out some solos from Porcupine Trees Tarquins Seaweed farm etc..Early recordings which I adore..But I couldnt figure those out.

And I simply dont know how can i learn...

By the way I wonder is there anyone who knows what sample or kinda keyboard that is used on Porcupine trees songs like It will rain for a million years , no reason to live no reason to die...

Thanks
