Why don't we talk about the music when the album is released instead of talking about such an stupidity? Confused

but the title reminds me of the 101 prog metal rules:

34. Make sure your bandname is either a
a) Oxymoron
-Silent Noise
-Tender Harshness
-Healing Gun
b) Some geeky sounding name ripped from some obscure book.
-Deitronus
-Tarakoch
-Fentaran
or
c) Random combination of at least 2 three-syllable words.
-Eternal Twilight Tranquility (Can`t get much progger than that)
-Redolent Arithmetic
-Evolution of Vernacular Domesticated
35. Don`t worry about if your band name makes any sense or not. Since 90% of your fanbase is from Brazil and Japan, you can safely ignore conventional English grammar and instead focus on what´s really important: The lyrics (see rule 36).

Yeah... mostly I hate those titles.. But this name is still quite good - if DT don't title next albums like that. Systematic Chaos is somehow genius, but after all maybe not. But ironic, and good thing is that it can descripe the music. And it's not so stupidly intertaxtual, like Octavarium. Both systematic and chaos are pretty scary words.

Could be better, but i don't dislike it much, so I like it.

This is true; as far as I know, a lot of their work went Gold, which is surely profitable enough.

Album title polls................hmmm................does this matter in some way when there is no possible way to know how this relates to the music contained within?

It sounds like they are trying to appeal to metal-heads and intellectuals simultaneously. I don't care for it, but obviously it's of no consequence if the material is good.

You can usually gain some information about a bands genre from titles. I'm not saying it's full proof but with an album title like "He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts Of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms" you may think the album is post rock. Or a band nammed The Plastic People of the Universe, you can probably guess to be Avant.

It is certainly not as interesting or original a title as Octavarium or Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. It sounds more like a Megadeth album title. But DT could call their album "Sparrow's Farts in Brine" and  I would not be put off, because I know that the music will KICK ASS!

I really dont like the name, it seems to be that the next album of DT is going to be quite metallic, and a little of progressive, what a pitty, I hope I will mistake

I don't like it one bit. Sounds like some acne ridden teen's myspace name.

Not the greatest name I've ever heard, but who's going to care if the album is great.

I find the name OK, though the future will reveal whether or not the name fits the content of the album.

Not an album title I would expect from Dream Theater, but hey, it's not a bad title in any way.
