Agreed Ivan!
It's always a nuisance to press the more... I quite often use the thumbsup smilie () but it's not in the 'quicklist' :S |

You can already do that. If you work off a mac, it will show you the code for them rather than the image.
I can't remember how they open and close, but I will come back with a list of codes (unless someone beats me to it). It may only work on Macs, though.
By the way, I'm on a PC now...

The emoticons work better for me. I'm not up on all of the internet lingo and symbols.
But I do know how to program a VCR. |

I have made a conclusion it would be good to activate smilies using symbols, for example, :) standing for and so on.
Lately I have been noticing a strong need for the use of smilies, as they help you to make the people around you understand whether you are serious or not, and what you feel when you post, thus giving your message a specific mood and context.
Unfortunately, a lot of time is wasted by clicking the "more" button by waiting when the table opens, the smilies load and you click on one to make it appear. I think it would be a great idea to make smilies appear by just typing up specific short combinations of symbols. This approach is commonly widespread on the internet, why not implement it here? :)
Any ideas?
