My buddy Fred Trafton had a Christian prog band years ago called The Chosen...don't think they have a CD.

Not a whole band as such....but have your heard Peter Geee's solo albums "The Heart of David" & "Vision of Angels" there is some mighty pretty christian (Neo) prog!
Can't help with the LA thing though! Sorry,

I love music and for me (and i am glad also for all progheads) it is more than a throng of notes. Just look at the prog in music. It came and blast something new which can brought your soul so high. Prog archives gives me the ability to research this fenomenon. I believe that nothing comes just from any kind of coincidence. Because when I listen to prog i feel that not I am listening, but the music is listening to me and to what I need. Prog is for me a touch of an angel who wrinkled the surface of earth for those who want to listen and be listened. Just like prayer.

I lived in greater LA and Orange Counties for the first 30 years of my life, but I serve overseas as a missionary anthropologist now. That small island in the Pacific wouldn't happen to be anywhere near the Philippines, would it? I too want to thank you for the words about Jesus, the Lord of Lords - and your signature from Philippians. I sure wish there was a Christian prog band - Kansas came close in the mid-1980s (if you call Kansas post-Steve Walsh 'progressive!') King's X would be 'close,' though they were never considered 'progressive' either. Neal Morse's solo album of 2003/04 might be 'close' also, but again it doesn't live up to what he did with Spock's Beard or Transatlantic. Sorry I can't help with your request, but you brought up a subject very dear to my heart - mixing my love for music-genre and the Lord together. God bless...

I appeal to you, the prog community, for help! i live on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific ocean where live music is a rarity and prog is virtually unknown. Over the Christmas holiday I'm going to the big city, L.A. and I would love to catch some live, quality prog in action. DOES ANYONE KNOW, OR KNOW HOW TO KNOW, how to find out about Prog in L.A. over the two weeks surrounding Christmas. thanks...
