^ I have a laney 50 watt which was about £120.00 a few years back that has served me very well.

Welcome to the forums by the way Mordam

I've got a Laney I bought 25 odd years ago - it's always given me a great and unique sound, even though it's a tad temperamental.

Good Amp!

if you're on a tight budget go for the Laney LC15
practice amp - nice valve tone, 2 channels i think and
plenty of sweetly overdriven bang for your buck

I should have read the faq on the Official Opeth forum first. There I found THE ANSWER.
SORRY guys. If anyone would be interested in this topic....here it is..
"It's called the [Laney] VH100R, it's a hundred watts and two channels. I only use the clean channel but it's got great distortion in it which I don't use, not live at least *laughs*. All I need to do is reprogram all our sounds but that would take some time. The ideal situation for us would be to use the distortion in the amp and then go around it to have effects only on board. But we still would need two channels."

First of all Hello Everyone :D

Does anyone of you know the types of Laney amps used by Michael and Peter from Opeth? That sound is awsome. I know they're ENDORSED by Laney, but nothing about types. I'm ready to spend all my whole year savings to poses that "Mastersound"
Regards, Mordam
