Space Trucking blew me away when I first heard it back in the 70's and it still does it for me - brilliant stuff. The whole album rates as my favourite live album of all time!

Very close call between Highway Star and Child in Time.... But Child in time just edges it, builds up so well.

The six-star masterpiece itself! Well, it's "Child in Time" for me (the stuff of legends!) followed by "Highway Star".

"Strange Kind of Woman" - because of excellent Gillan - Blackmore "duel".
"Space Truckin'" is my least fav on the album, it seems to me too long.

Yikes...Space truckin has always been my fave, the textures in the quiet organ and guitar solos as opposed to the noisy ones are just great

.... Obviously, I like all the songs of this masterpiece. My vote goes for the fantastic version of Child In Time, followed by Highway Star and Lazy.

My all time favorite Purple song is not in Made in Japan but in Made in Europe "Burn" and it's magnifiscent organ solo is by far the best song IMHO.
I remember for a party when we were at school, we tried to include this song in our repertoire, we had practiced a lot, but our keyboardist got lost in the solo, thanks God most people was already drunk and didn't noticed it very much, it was terrible.
My top 3 from Made in Japan:
- Highway Star
- Child in Time
- Smoke in the Water
