Huh! That's like saying Genesis wouldn't have been what they are without Peter Gabriel!

I think Rabbit was a bit boring in the original book. I like Winnie more in the Disney versions - his facial expressions are very funny.

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

Shame you put Gopher in the poll. A needless Walt disney addition. |
Yes I'm a Winnie purist too but maybe Gopher might appeal to our American friends. That's what they put him in for anyway. Gopher's quite funny when he says "I'm not in the book and I'm a ding dang glad of it". That makes my daughter laugh when I say it. |
Can you send us a clip of you saying it to your daughter?
|
I tried it again and it's not funny any more. So either I've lost my touch, the joke has worn thin or she has developed a more sophisticated sense of humour. Yesterday, she was laughing at me kicking a ball around the kitchen so it can't be the latter. |
Don't jump to conclusions.....have you seen yourself kicking a ball?

I voted Tigger

Definitely The Pooh.
That bear's got the right attitude.
Tigger's quite entertaining too.
Piglet just needs a little more self-confidence.
Eeyore? Well I'm in a band with him, and he can be a real drag sometimes.

I don't think his views are balanced - he just sees the bad side of everything. You could say that he's realistic but that doesn't do him any good as he hardly ever has any fun.
