I do not realy know how this works so I'm giving it a try

When quoting someone else’s post, it can be helpful to edit it down to the pertinent section or sections, rather than repeating the entire post. One way to do this is to type ["Quote"="forum name"] then paste in the relevant section you wish to quote ["/quote"] without any of the quote marks (").

Um...sorry about that, it's just that something was wrong with my connection and my posts could not be posted

And thanks for the suggestions! My roots are on grunge and metal music, but still prog is quite a world to get hooked with! So I'm looking forward to listen to many different bands! I'm still in the DT placenta, but it is only a matter of time until I explore the depths of prog, or at least the Titans. So far I've only known Yes! Quite good! And I'm stil open!

At first I really hated DT....it was too technical for me. My first choice of music was punk(I still like punk) so I kinda got used to 3 min. songs. But I listened to floyd when I was still beginning to like Rock Music...My fisrt album was Images and Words...it took me like 5 mos. to finish it completely...I ended up liking the band and hooking myself to prog. I recommend you to listen to Liquid Tension Experiment....I'm still a newbie but I'm gonna say this anyway....Do'nt limit your prog music horizons with DT...There's whole worlds to explore....Listen to YES, PINK FLOYD, GENESIS and other great bands here on progarchives.  I did not know about progressive music then but progarchives expanded my horizons...Look at all the genres(or is it sub-genre,Newbie too!!)Because there is a lot more!!! You may want to try Symphony X too!!!!

HAPPY PROGING!!!

hi again! um, I did not expext to this forum to go on but anyway!

Heey! I know there are dt haters out there! It is ok! imagine if EVERYONE in the world liked Dt! It would not be cool! So , i really don't care. Moreover, do hate them! Leave the good music to us, us the ignorant fools! Da!

And about being a fanboy. He, don't bother, in a couple of years i will be diggin' in another band. But I will always luv DT!

I SAW THEM LIVE!! Yaaaaaaay! It was breattaking, awesome, let me tell you that much! Geez, I want them to come really really soon. They played two of my favs: wait for sleep and learning to live. Man! Have you guys seen the Octavarium cartoon they present during the show? It is quite fun! I did not know Rudess also considered himself a keyboard wizard like Wakeman!

fanboy(n)

1. A person who is completely loyal to a band reguardless of if they suck or not.
2. A pathetic insult often used by fanboys themselves to try and put down people who don't like whatever it is they like.
"If you don't worship Yes and send them all your money and pay $500 for their entire discography I'm selling on ebay then your obviously a Dream Theater fanboy even though I've never heard you mention a single thing about Dream Theater the entire five minutes I've known you." Said the Yes Fanboy.

Hello

And don't mind Gdub, he's just another DT hater.
