On the way to work, on the way home from work, whilst on the computer ( Like now) but not when in bed because the wife's into Cliff Richard,John Denver and David Cassidy (Hey they say opposite's attract)
The best bit though is the job which has me driving all over the UK 35000 miles per year, its really tough on a Spring morning driving through the Welsh Mountains sunroof down not a car in sight and TAAB or CTTE or Deadwing etc etc blasting out on the stereo |

Seems like you're all talking about how much time you spend listening to music each day. I'd say that on average I spend 2 hours a day. But mostly listening to streams or on the mobile player, which doesn't register on www.last.fm. |

I spend almoust all my spare time on listening music. Ofcourse listening is not the only thing I do at that time. I listen to music while sitting by the computer, preparing and eating meals, cleaning, etc... I don't listen to music only when I learn

Since I got my MP3 player 2 weeks late for Christmas (mailing
problems), I've been listening to an average 10 hours of msic a day, at
least 75% of that is prog. 9 of that 10 hours is spent picking berries
I need the money though, how else would I aquire my prog collection! On
my days off (like today, yipee!) it varies between 3 and 4, - not
strictly prog.
I play my guitar for usually about 2 hours a day too, and alot of that tends to be on the proggy side |

Anywhere between 1 and 14 hours a day depending on my day-routine. I love listening to a ton of progressive rock albums back to back to back to etc., it gets excessive. If I quickly have to go somewhere, I just listen to classic rock/60's/70's music.

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect. |

At the moment I'm pretty much 100% prog as I've got so much stuff from
new bands since I found this site. I listen to prog on the way to work
(1 hour) and the way home, also while I'm on the PC in the evening (if
I can get the kids off it).
The only non-prog I've listened to lately is the Born To Run remaster and (dare I say it) Green Day. |

I do that if they're concept albums, or if songs flow into each other. once I get everything ripped, I plan on going through my collection and using Albumwrapper to combine the tracks that should be combined. Good god, I'm anal retentive! Seriously, though... my ONLY complaint thus far about the iPod is the gap between songs. Everytime I listen to a Floyd album on my iPod I want to punch something everytime that 500 millisecond silence in between tracks interrupts one of my favorite transitions! By the way, great icon cuncuna... Invader Zim RULES. Edited by Empathy |

As far as iPod/iTunes listening, shuffle mode doesn't work well for me. I usually listen to whole albums straight through. |

Ever since I got my iPod, it's pretty much been surgically attached to my head.
As far as ratio of prog to other music, I'm all over the map with my tastes, and I'm constantly in "shuffle mode"... but I'd say prog makes up at least 40% of my collection. |

I'm still at CÉGEP (in Québec, this is after the 5 years of high school and university) and actually, I work 16 hours a week, but I listen to one hour in my car everyday, and probably 2 hours more when I'm on the computer and I do my homeworks... We always have time for prog!
