Hey Garion81 put this link on the thread titled Kerry Livgren Honorable Mention. Good site: stuff, info, links, MP3s, easy to navigate. |

Yeah, it's wierd - and that's fine, but I don't feel like I get any connection to the band through it. It's superficial. The bio section reads like a magazine interview, the news part came from the management team, the community section is like a page from the fan club, I doubt very seriously that anyone in the band wrote a single page of that web site, I doubt if any of them actually played with Photoshop or Flash to create any of those graphics. There's nothing personal there... I mean about the art, not their love lives. |

Check out my website, it links to many interesting music websites - focusing on those which offer downloadable/streamable music: And, since you mentioned www.keneally.com: Be sure to also check out www.radiokeneally.com ... you can listen to Keneally 24x7, at 128kbps! |

What are favorite prog band/artist websites, why do you like the site, and give us a link. You may also add sites you hate, why, and (if you want to) add a link. I like Mike Keneally's web site http://www.keneally.com/ No flashy Flash anime, just a lot of good info that's easy to access. Good links as well, especially the link to the MK Trading page http://www.mktrading.org/ this has live MP3s taken from Keneally shows and they are offered up by Mikey for you to download. I also like Guillermo Cides website http://www.stickcenter.com/ Again, no flashy Flash - just gobs of good info on Chapman Stick, Stick artists, MP3s http://www.stickcenter.com/MP3Collection/ and Guillermo hisself http://www.stickcenter.com/Cides/ On the other hand.... I do not like the official Rush site http://www.rush.com/php/set_flash.php?flash=1 blah, blah, blah, all that interactive-flashy-hyper-media-hooey is just annoying. Same goes for the Mars Volta site http://www.themarsvolta.com/frances.html What is that... Saw? However, some Flashy sites are tollerable. For instance... Ohm/Chris Poland http://www.chrispoland.com/ isn't horribly annoying and it has some substance to it. Same goes for Cabezas de Cera http://cabezasdecera.fuga.com.mx/index.html |
