Rush plays in Canada all the time, but have been world wide for some
time now.
Oh, and May 2006 my band will start playing prog shows downtown,
probably Call the Office and a number of Pubs like Alex P. Keaton,
Brass Door and the like, we've amassed a bunch of connections, so
you'll be slightly pacified for a bit.
I'll keep you posted through PMs.

Cool to see somebody from nearby (I'm from London, since you were
wondering, FRIPP HOW?). Definitely let me know when your band is
playing, I'd love
to hear it. I play keyboards in a somewhat proggy metal band that
should be playing at places like Call the Office and The Embassy
sometime in the new year, so watch for us as well .
I missed the Yes/Dream Theater show at the JLC because I didn't start
listening to both bands until it was too late for me to get tickets . I didn't know about the Tull show though, that would have been great. Hopefully they'll all come back at some point.

Well it would probably be a good idea to share some music, I'll record our next practice.
Perhaps establishing a relationship might do well for both our groups?
We're closer to jam band prog than anything. A lot of jazz influence
too.

John Labatts Center gets a load of good artists, but I'm a starving
musician so I have to choose wisely, but since the new arena we've had
like I said, Yes and Tull, Metallica, Motley Crue, Deep Purple, The
Hip, The Allman Brothers (forgot, I saw that show too) Pearl Jam,
Robert Plant, Audioslave, Journey....
I mean, it's no Radio City Music Hall, but it'll do fine for a city of 350000.

I agree completely... I could definitely use some info on prog in
Ontario. Specifically, London and southwestern Ontario in general. If
there are any local prog bands I've been missing out on, that'd be
great .
