Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Also I'd like to add, I am a keyboard player and am trying to start a 70's
prog-influenced band. I have a very good drummer already but we still need
a guitar player, a bass player, and a singer, preferably 17 or under, and you
have to live in los angeles. I know that's a really tall order, but I figured this
site would be the best place to advertise. If you don't fit this criteria, does
anyone know another place I can advertise? I've tried Craigslist. Thanks.

I'm fourteen years old, and my dad introduced me to prog at a very young
age (probably around eight or nine.) King Crimson was the first prog
band that I really got into, and Gabriel-Era Genesis, Yes, and ELP soon
after. I also liked proto-prog bands such as The Nice and Procol Harum
at a young age.
I like some Canterbury, especially Soft Machine and Gong.
In the Jazz-Rock category, I love Mahavishnu Orchestra and Colosseum.
In the post-rock category, explosions in the sky are my favorite.
Some newer progressive bands I like are Tool, The Mars Volta, Anglagard
(who I discovered on this site) and Porcupine Tree.
