^ I guess not very these days. They're dwarfed by the likes of Bandcamp, Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube Music and Apple Music in terms of the number of active users, but they do have a comparable number of tracks available. I've never used Tidal myself, but have used Deezer (with Facebook log in) in the past. That's actually a French streaming service, and on quite a few occasions going back over the last decade or so it was the only site where I could find the music of one or two European artists available for streaming.

Interesting, didn't know that website.

How important are these other streaming platforms? I'm aware of Tidal and Deezer, but in Europe these are not really used by anyone. RYM for example links to Spotify, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Apple Music and YouTube ...

Maybe I should post this in the RIP thread rather than here, but since Markwin Meeuws (aka progstreaming) used to post all his updates in this one up until June 2016, I'll do the same now.

Markwin has posted this on Facebook a few hours ago:

"RIP Progstreaming! 😔 But I will keep on promoting important and easily available progressive rock, ie the ones on streaming platforms, on All Streaming (allstreaming.nl). All Streaming is for all genres that offer good music, not only progrock. There are more than 22,000 albums on my site so far. The goal is to make you discover, rediscover and cherish!"

The original Progstreaming site hasn't been available for a few years now, but Progstreaming Extended carried on until very recently, and I used it myself about a week ago. It's good to know that we can still access a wide variety of prog albums via Allstreaming though, with all the various platforms that the albums are available on gathered together there on the same page.

Mike's Awesome Prog site is similar in that Spotify, Amazon and Bandcamp streaming links (plus YouTube ones in a few cases) are available on the same album page, but Allstreaming also includes other sites such as Deezer and Apple Music.
