Casting a vote for Steve Rothery of Marillion, this album in particular is quite beautiful and haunting.

Robert Reed - a multi-instrumentalist of many colours, including  Magenta and Cyan, coming closest to the sound of Mike Oldfield here without actually BEING Mike Oldfield. Smile
