Love is not, but it's one I think fits this site, and so does the aforementioned Quicksilver Messenger Service.

Love are not in PA (don't know if they should be but I know I wouldn't have missed that one if it had happened!)

^ I was born a long way from the bayou, but I'm a big fan of Love and Spirit and Creedence Clearwater Revival too.

(never thought I would applaude one of your post, PP ) IMHO, The only Summer Of Love band from Frisco that should not be in the Archives would Creedence Clearwater Revival. Clearly, despite the odd longer track (usually featuring extensive guitar solos), their sound and songwriting is not suitable for this site. It doesn't stop me from liking a lot four of their seven albums (the first two, Cosmo & Pendulum) Moby Grape would probably be a case too. And for bands from LA, Spirit and Love are in PA as well. .

If I were to choose just one artist who should be allowed entry in ProgArchives hallowed halls, that would be Quicksilver Messenger Service, especially bearing in mind The Doors and Jefferson Airplane are already included here (under Proto-Prog).

Queen * Quella Vecchia Locanda * Quicksilver Messenger Service * Quiet Sun * Univers Zéro * Universal Totem Orchestra * I still think QMS should be in PA (either related or proto or psych)

Votes went Quella Vecchio Locanda, Univers Zero, and Utopia.
I was a U2 fan in the 80's and early part of the 90's. I enjoy the music of Stephen R. Smith, who has released many albums under these U aliases: Ulaan Janthina, Ulaan Khol, Ulaan Markhor, and Ulaan Passerine for those of you who enjoy instrumental, avant garde, experimental, drone, psychedelic, post rock.

Quite interesting list for such unpopular letters.
I think Univers Zero, Urban Sax, United States of America, United Jazz and Rock Ensemble. As I like to vote max 3 and the United Jazz and Rock Ensemble doesn't have votes yet, I kick the USA out. If anybody accuses me of antiamericanism, so be it.

^ just unticking the BBcodes box seems to sort it for me ( but you have to do it every time)
Voted Queen, Quatermass and Quella Vecchia Locanda. RIO is not my thing. I like Queen and recently listened to Prophets song for the first time in ages (wow!). Up to and including A Night At The Opera they are are a very interesting band and also get much credit for Innuendo which is one of the few listenable late 80's album releases by a major seventies act. IMO EDIT apparently Innuendo was a 1991 release which always confuses me lol!

^ HI< just suggestion since lot of people get code in their post, I made a topic on the issue at the beginning of the year. And it also shows how to manually use BB code for the forum with the editor disabled See https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=132330
"What has worked for me is (when logged-in) to go to Member Control Panel (near top left of from screen), then click on Forum Preferences, then I clicked on the "No" option for Enable the WYSIWYG post editor before updating the profile. That does mean that you have to manually tag urls to make them hyperlinks and manually tag videos to embed them (and manually tags colours), and you don't export rich text when pasting etc. but I have been fine with that." |
