This list is chock-full of fantastic albums. I'll vote for the criminally underrated Bloom, but Shamal, Fish Rising, and Gazeuse! would all have deserved a vote.

Magick Brother is easily the best from that list.
I think it might be my overall favourite album by Gong. Honourable mentions to Bananamoon, New York Gong and the Acid Mothers collaboration.

That Yello Bananas song is too bananas even for me. I think they're probably overripe bananas that are past their sell-by date.

Fish Rising is my go-to album when I've listened my way through the Camenbert-You quartet and want to stay in that mode. But Shamal is up there among my favorite spiritual jazz (fusion) albums. A transitional album that's perfect for what it is. Never before or after was the sound of Gong so drop dead gorgeous (Nick Mason did a great job with this).

Hillage easily but there are three others that need to be mentioned that have no votes right now. There's a lot of great albums here Paul, thankyou for this.
Gongzilla is such an amazing album with Holdsworth on several tracks. Shamal might be better than that one with Hillage on a few songs. Fairy Tales is a different animal but my appreciation for it is very high, the runnerup here. |

Velvet Darkness was released without Allan's permission so I shouldn't vote for it. But it has no votes sooo.
