in truth it's good, but it isn't their strongest offering...

I'm chuffed to see a win for Big Big Train, even though any hopes of seeing Mostly Autumn winning a poll have been derailed again. Geek

A lot of great albums here. Voted for Astra but could easily have been Anathema or BBT.

I keep telling the moon that I'm not a poop is even better than North Sea Radio Orchestra's I a Moon from the previous year (2011) (which, sadly, also did not make the list), not to mention that classic of Pink Floyd scatology, The Dark Side of the Moon.

I should give a proper listen to the Anglagard. I might have then voted for it instead of ALT (I did not love ALT to be honest, but should give it another go). While my faves in PA that I mentioned earlier did not make the list from wiki, those being Swans' The Seer, Anna von Hauswolff's Ceremony, Godspeed You! Black Emperor's 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!, Susanne Sundfřr's The Silicone Veil and to a rather lesser extent, Goat's World Music, I see some in the wiki list that would have got my vote had Paul opted to include them, those being Magma's Félicité Thösz and Motorpsycho & Stĺle Storlřkken's The Death Defying Unicorn.

Add in the Beach House (really love Bloom), Melody's Echo Chamber, Holter... etc, and what a great year 2012 was. At least for my somewhat too hip for PA tastes.

Headspace and Thank You Scientist are in the wiki list, which is great, but no Threshold. Kinda strange... Confused
