Espresso - Rock Prog Fusion (Chile)

Emerging from an eclectic amalgam of rock, prog, and jazz, Espresso, a progressive rock quartet, was formed. The band members include Pierino Madrid Pruzzo (bass), Fernando Meneses Díaz (guitar), Elías Orellana Gómez (drums), and Wilfredo Salas González (keyboards, synthesizers). Committed to the art of experimentation, these daring artists embark on a journey to explore uncharted musical domains.

The Chilean project, originated in the city of Quillota (V region), released its self-titled debut, 'Espresso,' on September 2, 2022. This piece encapsulates the band's spirit of innovation and technical prowess. The exquisite compilation of 7 tracks, which includes 'Cooler' (music video), 'Nuevo Horizonte', 'IO', 'Kosmos', 'Fractal Dimension', 'Rollercoaster', and 'Vortex', is available on a wide range of digital platforms. Clocking in at 47:28, each piece has been meticulously designed to be performed live, providing a feast of rhythms and harmonies for their audience.

The creation of 'Espresso' was a synergy of talent and collaborative effort. Recorded in the first months of 2022 at "Raíces Creative Studio" in the city of Limache, the album was conceived under the skilled direction of Sound Engineer Felipe Ortiz and the meticulous mastering by Sound Engineer Francisco Holzmann. The images adorning the album, a blend of art and music, were crafted by the virtuoso of keyboards and synthesizers, Wilfredo Salas González.

Recognition and accolades were quick to follow. The band received the coveted 2022 Nación Prog Awards in the categories of "Best Ibero-American Album of 2022" and "Best Ibero-American Band of 2022". Their outstanding talent has also been recognized and reviewed by global media such as Steve And Lou's World Of Prog (England), The ProgDog Blog (Canada), NewProgMusic (United States), Ruido Negro (Mexico), and several Chilean outlets.

In 2023, the group strengthened its presence in the music scene by joining the renowned Latin American label, Mylodon Records. Currently, Espresso is in the process of creating their first physical album and organizing future events.

Espresso is not just a studio project, the band has brought their music to life in numerous live performances since 2022. Among the notable events, there was a "Live Concert + Discussion," where the group shared the creative process of their album with attendees. For the year 2023, Espresso continues planning more performances and is working on their next album.
