Pink Floyd - 6 Emerson, Lake & Palmer - 5 Genesis - 5 King Crimson - 3 Van der Graaf Generator - 3 Can - 3 Eloy - 3 Focus - 3 Magma - 3 Czeslaw Niemen - 3 Mike Oldfield - 3 Osibisa - 3 Premiata Forneria Marconi - 3 Santana - 3 Tool - 3 Rick Wakeman - 3 not considered Prog, or partially: Black Sabbath - 3 Deep Purple - 4 Led Zeppelin - 3 Miles Davis - 3 As it can be seen, I'm very strict with the number of albums from one artist, while I like much to have albums from really many artists and many different countries - and I certainly won't say that the artists listed here are all my favourite ones.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

This is virtually impossible - I have moved house so many times, amassed varying formats including digital. It was possible to do up until the mid-80s but now I couldn't tell you! At the moment, my Henry Cow Redux Box Set probably trumps everything else!

That's a very impressive collection of Porcupine Tree albums. I only have five in my CD collection:- Stars Die: The Delerium Years 1991-1997 (2 CD's) In Absentia (2002) Warszawa (2004) Deadwing (2005) I'm listening to Porcupine Tree right now, so I'll see if I can find 26 albums for my prog channel. ![]() My favourite Porcupine Tree album so far: Voyage 34 - the ultimate psychedelic trip for the ears! ![]() ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - February 11 2022 at 04:00 |

Good grief. I have moved around so much and bought across so many formats I have lost count of each...
Thanks to box sets doubling up I think Henry Cow are in at number 1 thanks to the treasure troves Chris Cutler has unearthed...

I, too, have a lot of Ryuichi--he'd be in my top 10--but I didn't think he was on PA! |

I never really got into Klause Shultz but then also was never a massive fan of very early TD. Even JM Jarre was more to my taste than KS.

Hi, KS, TD and Vangelis are the ones I have the most of. Mike Oldfield is probably next, although I never got the TB3, 4, 5, 68 at all ... the other stuff was better and more interesting for me. After that, I think Ryuichi Sakamoto and many soundtracks and regular albums ... "Beauty", "Heartbeat" and "Neo Geo" are a must for us progressive weirdos! The title track in "Heartbeat" is breathtaking, as is "Amore" in "Beauty". The other album has Iggy Pop in various songs, and it is very nice believe it or not. I think that PH/VdGG, Djam Karet and Frank Zappa round out the large amounts of stuff for one specific group. I have not counted MAGMA yet, but a lot of the albums. A thorough AD2 and CAN are also here.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
