No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

^ I haven't experienced this yet as I still frequent an old fashioned "chi-burgie" diner. My pet peeve is that TV commercials are all aired at the same time so when you flip the dial you just go to another commercial. Makes have a remote control useless.

^I've experienced this as well and I agree that it seems to be a more recent phenomenon. It makes me want to buy an extra roll to flip it over into.

I don’t like when people make a sub or a hamburger (especially when it’s mine) with the meat on top above the lettuce, tomato, onion. I can’t stand it. It seems like a recent phenomenon, maybe. The meat should always go on the bottom. It’s BLT not TLB!!

Friede and I actually once witnessed a couple using cellphones inside a supermarket: woman: "where are you now"? man: "I am at the cheese counter. and you"? woman: "I am at the vegetable counter". they were actually only about 10 meters apart. this was in a way the "shortest" cellphone call ever

Worse yet, a room full of "phone ladies" and "phone men." Believe me. I've had this happen. It's an instant method to acquiring a lovely headache.

^I'm with you on the shopping cart thing. People realize if they need to stop their car they have to pull to the side of the road but for some reason the same logic doesn't seem to apply to shopping.

^Wouldn't call that a "dumb pet peeve". What you are experiencing there is a normal aversion to sociopathic behavior. Particularly if phone lady (or man, I find them doing it just as often) is insistent on doing that on speaker. I believe most thinking, considerate people are displeased with that. As long as your reaction stops short of physical violence then you are in good company.
Mine is inconsiderate shoppers that can't follow simple traffic rules with their carts. And guess what, they tend to be on their phone much of the time. Also, being at a conference or seminar with people who refuse to pay attention and do distracting things, then ask you what they missed.

Come on, we all have them. Those stupid little things that shouldn't matter but they just make you nuts.
I'm not talking about the ones that could actually impact your live like someone cutting you off in traffic potential causing an accident. These are the things you see or hear that just make you crazy for no good reason. OK, since I started this thing I'll go first . My dumb pet peeve is.....PHONE LADY. That woman who can't walk through a store without constantly yapping on her cell phone. I'm not talking about calling home to see if she should pick up bread while she is out. No, this woman is circumnavigating the super market (or Target, they love Target for some reason) talking about Aunt Martha's gallstones, how little Johnny is failing algebra or why her sister Karen is dating that loser Biff again. I know, It's dumb but there it is . So what's yours?
