Wow, interesting that every selection got at least one vote (hasn't happened with my other random polls), although the only selection for Nucleus was mine same day as I made it! Admit, I'm a little surprised.

I only wish I could have played it on a triple word score square.

Nice play! Don't get "excessively emotional" about it though.

Thank the God(s) of luck/chance (or as we Scrabble players say, the "Tile Gods"), because the shuffle I did was for 10240 tracks, and I only have one maudlin album with 6 tracks! I think the chances of that track being selected from a "bag" of 10240 tracks is, 1/10240, or 0.000097; which is a little less than 1/100 of 1% (someone correct me if I'm wrong). But that's just the chance for any given single track being selected once. If there's a statistician out there that knows how to calculate the chances of 1 maudlin track being in the 20th spot (as it was) on my list, or just within the first 20 on the top, or between 10-20 (as it was for this poll), I'd like to know. Perhaps the chance is quite a bit better than the single-select that I did above. Edited by zwordser - November 06 2019 at 11:56 |

Fright Pig. Reminds me to dig that out and listen to it again. 2 keyboard players and a year in the making and it lived up to the expectations.

The same shuffled list as the original Totally Random (11-20 from the top) which was my listening for yesterday late morning-early afternoon.
The repeat of Blue Effekt is, I guarantee, random, but I notice Windows Media often places a couple of tracks close together from the same album, no matter how many tracks you're shuffling (in this case, about 10000 tracks). My first choice is Nucleus, followed by maudlin of the Well, then Blue Effect (cool violin), and Fright Pig at a close 4th. Edited by zwordser - November 05 2019 at 09:15 |
