1984. Animal farm is great too. I have read also some other Orwell books but didnīt like them as much.

1. Animal Farm....Easiest for common man to understand.

2. 1984....One of the scariest books ever.  Almost as painful as "Crime and Punishment". 

3.Down and Out in Paris and London....Early autobiography.  Wow Orwell scrimped, scrumped,  and scrapped his way through the underbelly of a filthy Paris!  London the hard way.   Lots of great and memorable characters make you remember how varied, determined, and dirty humans are.
