The live version of Pink Floyd's Saucerful Of Secrets, Echoes, Rush's Tears,  Steve Hackett's Kim... Yes, prog can get the tears flowing!

I hardly cry from exposure from outside stimuli due to my infamous lack of empathy, but the end of Rush's 2112 would make be cry otherwise due to such a tragic ending. "My spirits are low in the depths of dispair, my lifeblood...spills over."
"You can't get something for nothing"
-Rush

The only song that has made me cry is Postcard by Steven Wilson. Not the lyrics, but the musical climax.

But The Human Equation by Ayreon conjures deep feelings that almost make me cry.

I'm not often moved by lyrics, even if for an Italian speaking like me Fabrizio De Andre' is a poet able to move a rock. I'm more likely involved by things like the final instrumental part of Mostly Autumn's "The Gap Is Too Wide". Still with MA "Mother Nature" has also moving lyrics. I can feel strong emotions from the first three albums of Art Zoyd or by Pink Floyd's "High Hopes".

In general I feel sad whenever I listen to anything of Syd Barrett, it's regret for the loss of a genius and for his sad story.
Do you imagine when he popped in the studio while PF were recording "wish you were here"? He was "here" but they managed to make him go. Pig

For some reason "afterglow" by Genesis almost always makes me cry(or at least well up). It even got to me when I saw them perform it live on their last tour. "Turn of the century" and "To be over" are songs that should make me cry but for some reason don't even though they are both great songs. A few VDGG songs can make me cry also.

^ I can see MARILLION's JIGSAW song striking a nerve with some people cause it makes you think about sh*tty girlfriend relationships that overly ran their course. Arguing and fighting all the time is no laughing matter. Song was perfect and left me a little teary eyed sometimes.
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

I ment the song specifically.
I'm joking even if I really disliked that. It has been my "stop album" with Marillion.

that's really sweet man. I'm sure in the afterlife your dad will give you a big hug for your amazing tribute to him. For now though, you must continue to Prog on in his honor just as you've been doing.

I listened to SAVIOUR MACHINE's , END OF THE AGE but I just kinda teared up a bit because of it's beautiful epic nature. Great song. Lots of triumph ;)

I am a softie sometimes.

At the Yes concert tears streamed down when And You And I started- it was overwhelming to finally hear it live. And when they finished the epic Fly From Here and we all stood to our feet and cheered, it was a weepy moment.

At the Pink Floyd Australian Show there were tears after the solo of Comfortably Numb and even after the last note of the full Dark Side of the Moon album they played so brilliantly.

as far as listening to albums its hard to remember but its happened sometimes. I m a softie really
