PA Album of 2023 Open to Members: Jan 31 deadline

Hello all, and welcome to the the 2023 PA Album of the Year event! This year we decided to do things more than a little differently.

In the past this was only open to collaborators and some VIPs, but now it's open to all PA members provided they aren't new members registering here in order to prop-up certain albums and are not alternative accounts.... Also, Mike of awesomeprog has provided an awesome tool to use where you can look through the yearly albums, search for albums and add and order those albums for your own list: see https://awesomeprog.com/aoty-poll

Please follow that link to add your album choices, then re-post the code in this topic so that your list can be officially counted. As you see with the browse function there for albums, you can limit to ones in PA and include others. The albums included in PA will count towards the official Album of the Year, but please try to choose all that you care about and let the tool help sort out its applicability for the album of the year. Mike knows his tool better than I, so please read his post below.

Up to 20 albums can count towards your "votes" for the Prog Archives Album of the Year event. Your top choices scores 20 points and so on, but you need not choose that many and your top albums will have as much value as if you chose more albums. Additionally, you can choose many more albums, it's just that those ones in PA outside of your top 20 will not score any points from your list.

Also, you can add to your lists, re-order, drop from your list and generally tweak it, and you can post multiple times in this topic when you make changes. In fact, you should re-post your list in this topic when you make changes, otherwise your changes will not be saved and tallied. So don;t worry if you only have few to start. While I would encourage all to try to bite the bullet and rank their lists, there is an option of getting equal score for all your choices if you are unwilling.

If you have technical issues, please let us know, and by us I really mean particularly Mike, but I and others might very well be able to help.

The deadline for getting your list in for the official Album of the Year list is January, 31st. Please try not to leave it that late even if you plan to tweak it until the end. In February the results will be posted.
