I looked it up. The sub was 900 pounds on its own.

How can you know if you have never tried?

The same for you: computer burned cd versus good murder copy

You're a hopeless case, oliver ... you're really pathetic.

WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT CD VS. BURNED COPY HERE.

Stop avoiding answering my questions please.

Does extraction equals playback for you?

Like for tube amps distorsion rate theory, you remember?

What do you mean by that? Extraction of the audio vs. playback on the computer eliminates the possibility of jitter, so it's absolutely imperative. If you then connect the DIGITAL output of the soundcard to your favorite amp (and hence let it do the D/A conversion), the signal will be as good as any good musical player could provide it.

I remember the tube discussion ... I said that I appreciate the sound of tube amps although the distortion rate can be higher. Please don't quote me wrong all the time.

And as for getting "loud" ... we discussed in length why digital audio extraction eliminates jitter. Please don't just begin to question that again without providing new facts - or at least tell me in detail which of the facts that I produced you think are wrong. Arguments like "I give reasons - you say it isn't - I give more reasons - you say it isn't - I give tons of reasons again and again - you say it isn't" aren't getting us anywhere, and you're only making a fool of yourself in the end.

They make good stuff. I have a logitech 5.1 in the lounge room for DVD playback (really wanted the klipsch 5.1 but it wasn't available for australian power rating). The logitech is excellent value for the price. This should start oliver's eyes rolling now that he knows we think a pc accessories manufacturer makes good speaker systems.

Kilpsch on the other hand produce speakers, maybe even the finest out of america. Their gmx system is truly amazing.

[edit] I can picture oliver now, shaking his head and leaving the room in disgust
