try some later Deftones also post metal as it best
Is that post metal? They're not even on this site, sounds like metalcore to me, and i don't like any core genres. Sorry, didn't like it.
they are more experimental metal then post, and no not metalcore, try nu-metal, the only really nu-metal band with any musical relevance and can be viewd as respectfull musical act, in their won right, they create wonderfull riffs,a and atmospheric music,

Been listening to some post rock/metal today, this is a genre i should explore more as i'm really enjoying it, bands like Tool, Sigur Ros, GYBE, and just listened to a track by Maudlin of the Well. Pretty great stuff!
Check out Isis and Cult of Luna if you haven't already.
I'll check them out too sometime, but i'm gonna listen to more of the bands i already have heard something off first.

Not a bad review. The story on the album is quite deep, possibly the most "literate" concept album I know of. I wish I could find this one web site which analyzed the album to death -- it was a real interesting read, and a great way to kill a couple of hours.
